GOTCHA /// Hang Out Fest 2014

I was suppose to go to Hang Out Fest this year with my friends. I bought my ticket, we got a condo, and then life happened. I came back from Costa Rica and a series of unfortunate events helped me make the decision to sell my ticket and stay in town. I am at a really good place in my life and I decided family was more important than going to a music festival on the beach. Thank God my friends understood and that we had Colton Becker to give us a glimpse of how awesome it was. I mean, look at that beach and that sky! Thank you Colton for taking video of Jack Johnson! Man...

GOTCHA /// People Watching at the Flea

"S-T-A-R-I-N-G I can't stop staring!" THIS SONG always comes to mind when I am people watching. I stare so hard that Jacob will hit my arm and tell me I am so obvious. I can't help it though, I just love watching how people interact with one another, I like looking them up and down and wondering why they chose that outfit. Did they put a lot of effort into it or did they just throw it on? I like watching couples be sweet to one another and I also like when I witness inappropriate behavior.

We had a lot of fun at Fairfax Flea playing Gotcha! Gotcha is when I sneak attack photos of people. It's hilarious. You can tell some people are just waiting to have their photo taken and others have no clue. One group we were following stopped, turned and stared us down so we played dumb, took a detour and Lon tried on some fringe number. I used to always go up to people and ask them if I could take a their picture, which most of the time they were flattered and went straight in their "take my photo pose" but there is just something about Gotcha thats more fun when your with a friend.

*Krista snapped this photo and told them she was going to show their mom...they all freaked. 14 year olds up to NO good. The photo of them with chocolate funnel cake all over their face 10 minutes later did not come out.

BANDS WE SAW: MORRIS DAY AND THE TIME .SNOOP. End of BEST COAST- seriously just the end because of the long line to get in. DESCENDANTS. ERYKA BADU. FLAMING LIPS. WILLIE NELSON. PORTUGAL THE MAN .YOUNG THE GIANT.  TWO DOOR CINEMA CLUB.

FOOD WE ATE: loaded nachos, burgers, gourmet popsicles, and taco's.

THINGS TO PUT IN YOUR BACKPACK: Nalgene water bottle, chapstick, bandana or sweat towel, umbrella, old towel or sheet, cash, extra camera batteries/memory cards, cell phone charger, SPF

I think we consumed more water than we ever have in our whole life...
