Give Away!!!

Hello everyone! 

It seems like it has been forever since we have done a give away here at Bueno Bueno, so I tried to make this give away (including something special from our lovely sponsor Carla) awesome.

The three Bueno Bueno items are:

 I LOVE paper! I also love drawing, lettering, taking notes and detailed daily lists. I use to buy a new notebook every month because I would get tired of looking at the same thing every day. I would even try making cool covers for my notebook thinking that would sustain my attention, but the problem for me was all the uniform pages inside. The only logical thing for me to do was make my own with a wide variety of pages including (not limited to) blank sheets, graph paper and the funnies. This lost & found journal is 6 x 6 in and would love you to be it's owner!

I started making these daintier dangles because I realized that if you don't have thick hair, the large feather dangles won't hold very well. They are super light weight and a bobby pin should do the trick :)

DIY heart garlands. 2 styles.

what you'll need:

magazines or catalogs, brown paper bags (its a great way to recycle)

scissors

thread

sewing machine

 

tear out a page, fold in half and cut out as many hearts as you want.

in many different sizes.

 

figure out which direction you would like to sew them.

 

just feed the heart right in. 

 

i like to have some space between the hearts, so they can rotate.

 

 this is how it should look. i use two colors of thread.

 

dont throw these away. you can use these in another garland, or you can glue them to card stock and make a cute card.

 I am hoping my Valentine's day this year includes, my friends smiling and knowing they are loved by jacob and i. and maybe a cute lil gift from jacob. 

2. My biggest guilty pleasure is i dont feel guilty about any of my pleasures. haha. im with lauren on this one...reality tv ugh! like the bachlor

3. I am most proud of my husband jacob for being the best husband(#1 rocksatr) who is also so so patient with me and my cousin taylor for writing the prettiest songs and such beautiful music. (finnegan)

4. If I could choose one outfit to live in it would be my tye dye pants that jacob hates, and a tee shirt and flip flops:) 

5. People are amazing. they amaze me with how awful/selfish they could be one day and how awesome/loving they can be the next. i love my peoples.

6. I would rather be busy working with my hands than just sitting around. I love to work! its hard for me to just relax.

7. I love my  nephew ryder more than words could ever explain. he makes me want a baby. next year.

PAPER HEARTS + MOST ROMANTICAL DINNER

So for the past month Kelly has been making paper chains, cutting hearts out of brown paper bags, and collecting beer and pellegrino bottles. Curious?

Well the answer is for Alan, her boyfriend, that lives in Lubbock. She wanted to surprise him with a special romantic home cooked dinner. But since she wanted it to be a surprise she told Alan that they were going to a party and that I asked them to go by the salon and get my ipod.

Jacob and I went up there early to light all the candles, make a love mix, start the oven, and get everything perfect for them.

If you are stumped on what to do for New Years maybe this can help you come up with something.

Just follow the paper hearts.

Young Hearts

Alan still taking it all in..and no Kelly did not propose to him. hahaha. Now if a guy did this for his girlfriend well the girl MIGHT get a little upset if there is not a proposal. So..... be careful.

Hope this post inspired you to get creative and show a loved one you care. Actions speak louder than words. And you do not need a lot of money to make this happen. All you need is a lil time, patience, recycled items, and love. For dinner they had veggie lasagna, salad, french bread and wine. Kelly made the dinner herself :) I'm so proud of her!
