Monday morning we woke up and immediately I got stressed from looking in the office. We have windows that look into the office from our bedroom so it's the first thing I see every morning, and I somehow always put it off so the plan was to attack it first thing. Jacob had other things in mind...like getting me out of the house. I had been sick for a few days and he wanted to break my cabin fever. People kept talking about this tropical storm coming in but we checked our weather apps and looked fine to us so we were on our dandy way. Galveston isn't far and it had been awhile that the two of us had a day to ourselves so we were pretty stoked to get out and play together. We had breakfast at Sunflower Cafe, I had the crab cakes and eggs and Jacob had a custom omelette. It was DELISH! After breakfast we drove around and looked at all the colorful houses and headed to the seawall to skate. It rained on and off but each time it stopped raining the sun came out even brighter than before. It was just what we needed.
