Birthday recap ///
This past weekend was my 82nd, er... I mean 26th Birthday. Thursday, after work, I drove into Houston and met up with my BFF Corey (crazy hair kid) for our family dinner night. The night consisted of pasta, wine, the best pie and night swimming. It was the perfect way to kick off the weekend in a swimsuit (not... but it felt so good!). I'd love to tell you that I was super healthy was all about fitness this past weekend, but that would be a HUGE lie.
After 3 hours of sleep, Brandi, Jacob, Joseph and I kissed Zeyk goodbye and headed for the Galvez (yes we stayed on the haunted floor) in Galveston. It's on my top ten favorite hotels list. From the moment I got out of the car I was crawling out of my skin with excitement.
We spent all day Friday at the beach and then the pool at the Galvez with a million cameras, props, tricks, and laughs. I think out of everyone around us, we were having the best time. At night we headed for pleasure pier, the strand for dinner, and then the chocolate store where I had two scoops of mint chocolate chip ice cream on a cone. My summer fave.
Because we were so amped about staying on the haunted floor of the galvez, we decided to make a 'scary' video. Watch here.
Saturday, we ate breakfast at the strand and met up with Corey at the pool and then headed out to visit our friends Dan + Kassi and their amazing family. We spent the rest of the day on paddle boards, in a pirate treehouse, on a swan, fighting goobers, and watching the tannyn and tayli show. It was perfect.
Sunday was the final bash of the radical birthday extravaganza. Brandi + Jacob put together a 1963 beach party bash at their house with our friends and family.
We have more photos from the 1963 beach bash coming soon as well as our list of Galveston recommendations... I'm a little behind...

26 ///
So far, 26 has been the absolute best. Folks keep telling me how awful their 26 was, but I'd like to think this is going to be one hell of an incredible adventure. I think you just have to start the year setting the tone for what you want that year to be and thanks to everyone who was a part of my birthday extravaganza, the bar was set high. Full adventure ahead.

I'm so thankful to be surrounded by the best of the best. Thank you mucho mucho for all the birthday love this past weekend. Being surrounded by friends and family and hearing from my other out of state/city loved ones for three solid days made me the happiest.
