Yesterday was so much fun. We stayed up pretty late with friends the night before so we didn't get much sleep. 8 am came quickly and we were out the door and on our way to the country for some treasure hunting. Once we got some food and a Bloody Mary in us we were golden. I tell you what, after hours and hours of walking, lifting, and shopping for  we were worn out! We are already planning for the next Round top adventure, and we will definitely be having a slumber party at Kelly's since its way closer. We need at least a week of shopping. Too much to see, so little time.

Have you been? Is there anything like this where you live?  Or any cool Flea Markets? We'd love to know so we can check them out.

We were in and out of Austin in the blink of an eye, but we made the most of it. First night in town we joined a True Detective slumber party in our sleeping bags :) and crashed hard. The next morning, we had an amazing breakfast with our pal, Jaime, at Bouldin Creek Cafe. Man, have we missed the food in Austin. Then we were off to the Billy Reid party for the majority of the day. Out of all the parties, the Billy Reid shindigs are always at the top of our SXSW list. Solid line ups, good space, good vibes, good drinks (although this year we did not touch a drink due to our 30 day challenge), the best staff and none of that flashy BS. We stuck around until after the Robert Ellis set, jetted over to Juice Land for some energy where Kelly got green juice all over her shirt, raced to meet up with Nev + Scarlett (You remember these two cuties, right?) at Revival with the Deus Ex Machina and The Land Boys crew and ended the night with laughs at Justine's. Our last morning in town began with breakfast at Galaxy Cafe and ended at the Renegade Craft Fair. We've had our hearts set on a few items from Bekah's shop, AWTB since meeting her last December and had to take advantage of this opportunity to see and touch everything like a couple of five year olds. Photos just don't do the items justice. All the pieces in her booth were perfectly beautiful, clean, minimal, full of personality and great craftsman ship. We stocked up with some goodies and then hit the road for Houston, but not without stopping by Juice Land one more time :)

Thank you Michael for the VIP wristbands at the Billy Reid Shindig, we had a blast!
Thank you Jaime, Jace and Katie for sharing your homes with us. We were very Comfy.

MURDER MYSTERY MASQUERADE + CHEEKY VINTAGE

When we decided to host a Murder Mystery Masquerade for New Years, Cheeky Vintage was the first place that came to mind. We knew we had to hone in the New Year dressed in amazing Vintage. Their selection is impeccable and it's always fun playing dress up with the ladies who run Cheeky.

Brandi's Dress //
Before I actually set foot in the store I had an idea of what kind of outfit I wanted to find. I wanted a long sleeve dress or a fancy pant suit. I was hoping to find something in gold, silver, or black sequence. Once we walked in to Cheeky, we started pulling all kinds of treasures, anything shiny, gold, and sparkly I had to try on. Then they presented the Velvet cape and I did a little happy dance. I had to have it! In my mind I knew that I had to wear this amazing cape as the host of The Murder Mystery. After trying on  a dozen dresses and trying to decide on "THE ONE" the black and gold long sleeve dress won fair and square. This dress was perfection. It made me feel elegant and sophisticated. The best compliment I received that night was "I want to live in that dress." #TRUTH

Kelly's Dress //
Before shopping at Cheeky, I had bought my mask. It was white and peach and knowing that Brandi was going black or gold, I wanted to keep it light. Other than that, I was open to all possibilities. I pulled every sparkle, sequin, shiny thing I came across, but when I saw this one I knew it was the one I'd take home. I was instantly in love the the cut, color and beaded detail at the top (plus, I knew it would hide my puppy tummy after dinner). If you really want to know the truth, my favorite movie is The Princess Bride and this dress made me feel like a Mexican Princess Buttercup. There, I said it :)

If you live in Houston and you haven't stopped in Cheeky Vintage you are missing out! You now know where to go now for your next big event. Your welcome :)
