WEDNESDAY PLAYLIST: What Came First, The Music or The Misery?

What came first, the music or the misery? People worry about kids playing with guns, or watching violent videos, that some sort of culture of violence will take them over. Nobody worries about kids listening to thousands, literally thousands of songs about heartbreak, rejection, pain, misery and loss. Did I listen to pop music because I was miserable? Or was I miserable because I listened to pop music?-High Fidelity

I don't know what the weather has been like where you live, but down in our corner of the world it's been dooming and glooming. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE IT. I'm no Debbie Downer, but I do enjoy pulling out my 'sad bastard' tunes, grabbing a glass of wine, and noodling some doodles onto paper. Whatever the case may be, I hope you find something in this playlist that suits you (i tried to keep it varied, but I'm no musical guru).

And for dessert, I suggest you listen to the beautiful Amanda Shires (with Colt Miller and Rod Picott)!

If you have any 'sad bastard' favorites, old and new, we'd love to know what they are
