Kelly and I spent the weekend in Galveston with our California family.

We celebrated Tannyn turning nine, so we had a sleepover with the family of 7. Thats right. 7.

After all the monkey business we ended our weekend with our parents. First we drove to our Dad's who was of course keeping up with Football, we lost, then we stuffed our faces with Chinese food at my moms. Lets just say this week is not going to have any cheat meals.

9 days til I get to go surfing!!!

A BUENO DAY OFF /// Let's Go Surfing

Sometimes you just need a day off to go play. My friend Joe and I woke up at 6 am to get to the waves early, Jacob and Kelly had to work so they stayed behind. Joe recently sold his car with his old surfboard rack and we don't fully trust the new one so we decided to just strap down one board for the day. Sharing his board was no problem since Texas waves are rough and choppy and after about 30 min paddling out your arms need a break. I am the happiest girl in the world when I am in the sunshine getting salty. Joe asked me if surfing in Costa and Nicaragua is similar to Texas surf and I just laughed because it's so much harder paddling out here, but you know what I appreciate that. I will take whatever I can get. Joe made a video from this day but I am waiting to post it next week. Now we are planning another Surf trip but we can't decide where we want to go. So many awesome places to chose from. As long as it's in warm water. Any recommendations?
