TX Storm/Susan G. Komen "Pitching for Pink" Walkathon

Hey Houstonians!
Our little sister's (Amy) softball team, Texas Storm has teamed up with the Susan G. Koman Houston Chapter Foundation and organized the 'Pitching For Pink' walkathon. I'm not sure that we have ever done a walkathon before, but there is not time like the present! The Walkathon will benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation as part of the proceeds will be given to the Komen group. The goal of this event is to raise $10,000 to present to the Komen group. This is a pretty big deal, especially for the girls of TX Storm because this is the first time a softball club (of this level) has ever been directly affiliated with the Komen Foundation for a walkathon of this measure. To tell you the truth, our whole family is pretty stoked about it all. If you want to participate in this cause let us know (iheartbueno at gmail) or CLICK HERE to learn more. If you know you would like to register, please click here (and write Amy Garcia next to 'Player Representative').

If you would like to learn more about the Foundations, just click here http://www.komen-houston.org

By the way, this walkathon is taking place the day before mother's day, so if you have a mother who holds quality time above all (or if you just want to give her something extra), this would make a great gift.

back from austin. 2 packages in my mail box!!! don't you love that feeling!?! i do!
1. i got my  i heart boobies bracelets (keep a breast).
2. is a secret. hahaha sorry guys!

The Keep A Breast Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. Their mission is to help eradicate breast cancer by exposing young people to methods of prevention, early detection and support. Through art events, educational programs & fundraising efforts, they seek to increase breast cancer awareness among young people so they are better equipped to make choices and develop habits that will benefit their long-term health and well-being.

BANNED IN SCHOOLS. WHY? "BOOBIES" IS NOT INAPPROPRIATE. i can understand if it said I HEART TITS on it but it doesn't.  and you know boys will actually wear this and help spread the word. they would not wear a light pink one that has the ribbon. these are making people talk so i would say they are working! what are your thoughts? watch the video and let me know:)
