Can you believe this was the first time that the four of us hung out alone together without the Bacquet kids? We totally love hanging out with the whole family but this time Dan and Kassi wanted some grown up quality time with us. These two have been such a blessing in our lives especially in our marriage. They have seen us go through the mud and they have been there with open arms and just loved us, flaws and all. Majority of the time we are laughing, cracking jokes, and chasing the kids around but the beginning of 2014 was awful. Jacob and I went through the hardest time of our life and The Bacquets were huge prayer warriors in our life, they were some of our biggest advocates, and two of the most loving, selfless friends we have. This trip was all about love and celebration so we just let the good times roll. We surfed, I'm sorry there are no photos of us actually surfing, I just really wanted to enjoy the first time I took my new board out and live in the moment. We grubbed out like kings and queens, we laughed, we prayed, and we just enjoyed being together again in nature.
I promised Dan and Kassi I wouldn't name this beach, I'm so sorry. Kassi grew up here and this is one of their families favorite surf spots, we feel super honored that they shared a place so special to them. You have no idea how much this family means to us, I hope you who are reading this have friends in your life as loving and kind as The Bacquets.
