Today Katie and I had a last minute YARD Sale. Like so last minute that we had Kelly and Korey hold up signs while skateboarding the neighborhood. They even put up 4 hot pink signs for us when the garage sale started. HA! I totally spaced on getting 1's for change so Jacob and Katie went on a quick run. Thanks Black Hole, CVS, and Kroger for the change!

I am so happy that today was so breezy and cool, otherwise this day would have been miserable.
We had a pretty good turn out, but the most random stuff was sold, so there's still lot to get rid of...we heard that the hardcore garage sale shoppers come out on thursday and friday. So if you see anything in these photo's that your interested in let us know! And if you have any tips on a successful sale please tell me:)

MY TIPS FOR GARAGE SALES
play good music
sell bottled water
have at least 50 one dollar bills (everyone pay's in 20's)
facebook and tweet your yard sale (let your friends know first)
have your friends hang out and help
have boxes/bags for shoppers
put your garage sale on craigslist and put signs up
have a calculator
write down the things you sell so you can keep track of what you made
put out a FREE box at the end of the day (items you don't care for)
donate extra plastic bags to local thrift stores
I have found out that I'm not so great at pricing things. I price too low and I still get people trying to pay $1 for something marked at $10....I need to be more firm next time!
