One of the best things about visiting Colorado was seeing old friends. Kristin was my roomate/ best friend/ co worker when I lived there. Still one of my closest friends. It's been 4 years since Jacob and I have been back! What the heck! Where did the time go? Now, Tim and Kristin have two adorable children and it was a really special visit seeing them as a whole family unit and getting to be a part of their daily routine. Yes, we did some touristy things while we were there...like coming to Garden of the Gods, I had not been here since I was a little nugget with my parents so it felt really good to be back. Jacob hadn't been here since he was a teenager so Thank You Tim and Kristin for this day. We love you. We miss you. Already planning our next trip back.

Road trips with this handsome young lad. We spent a lot of time gazing out the windows in awe. We spent a lot of time talking. We spent a lot of time screaming at the top of lungs and singing. We spent a lot of time in silence. We spent a lot of time stopping and taking photos. We spent a lot of time just enjoying being together for 8 straight days connected at the hip.

Thanks to all of you who gave us good music recommendations! Once the internet came back on the road we were set! I just didn't want to think about what I wanted to listen to. You know when your brain is just mush and you just want people to remind you of a band or introduce you to the latest and greatest secret. When all else fails I stick to 90's.

Jacob and I spent a lot of time outdoors while we were in Colorado, I mean it's just so beautiful we didn't want to waste any daylight. I always forget places like this exist in my normal day to day life in the city. Mountains, crisp air, blue skies, open land. Sometimes I imagine a slow paced life on the beach or in the mountains and then I can't shake it out of my head for days. That's where I'm at right now. Dreaming.
